Hope

Hope Lutheran Church meets at our new home, 2955 Pineda Causeway at Wickham Road. Sunday Worship Time is 9 AM & 10:30 AM with Sunday School at 9:15 AM. We are a part of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LC-MS) a group of over 6,000 churches in the United States. The LC-MS is committed to spreading the Gospel of Jesus in many ways: We have over 600 missionaries in foreign countries; oversee 17 colleges and seminaries; and have the largest system of preschool and elementary schools in the US.

Our Mission

As Christians, all of us have received God's grace. We all know the story of how much God loved us...so much that He sent His only Son Jesus to become man and to live, die and rise again for our sake. We know that God has taken away our sin and made us part of His own family, though we've done nothing to deserve it. This is what we call grace. We didn't earn it or work for it...it comes to us purely through God's great love for us.

Now that we are God's own children, God has given us other gifts as well. One of them is the privilege of being part of His mission to the world. God doesn't need us, but out of grace He gives us the privilege of working with Him to bring other people to faith in Jesus Christ. And as we get involved in God's mission, we experience the joy that comes from pleasing the God who loves us. We respond to God's love for us by getting involved in God's mission to the world.

Church Profile

We are a new church, which began worshipping September 11, 2005. We currently meet in our store front location at the corner of Pineda and Wickham. Hope Lutheran is part of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod.

We believe strongly in worship, Bible study and outreach. Those three items form the basis of how we live our lives in Christ's life, death and resurrection. Out worship is traditional in most respects, although somewhat blended.

We hold firmly to the Word and Sacrament ministry and serving the community.

Hope Lutheran Church Core Value

Honoring God and His Word

Worshiping God

We know we are worshiping God when we:

  • Worship together and study the Bible together
  • Make scripture the center of our message (preaching, teaching, music, and praise)
  • Know that Jesus has paid the price for our sins as we celebrate Communion together and receive His forgiveness
  • Welcome everyone to our fellowship as we share the love and Good News of Jesus

Living in Prayer

We know we are living in prayer when we:

  • Carry out each day as a personal conversation with God
  • Seek God's will in all things and lift each other up in prayer
  • Begin and end our meeting times together in prayer and support our ministries with prayer teams
  • Pray for opportunities to share the love and Good News of Jesus

Equipping Others

We know we are serving others when we:

  • Caring for others - putting the needs of others first, following Jesus who came not to be served, but to serve
  • Enjoy first-fruits giving as faithful stewards of all God has given us
  • Participate in small groups and devote ourselves to service projects in our community
  • Identify and use our spiritual gifts to serve in ministries where we share the love and Good News of Jesus

Sharing the Gospel

We know we are sharing the Gospel when we:

  • "Meet people where they are," and live like Jesus as we accept others as fellow sinners who fall short of the glory of God
  • Support Missions financially and in prayer, and participate in mission trips
  • Plant churches and send our members into the world
  • Reach out to our neighbors and share the love and Good News of Jesus
